Pattern Testing Winter Whispers Hat and Cowl Crochet Pattern for Kerry Jayne Designs

Today I have something a little different to share with you all 🙂 as I had the pleasure of testing a beautiful new crochet design by Kerry Jayne Designs. For those of you that know me, you know that I love her patterns a lot and they are often my go to patterns for hats especially when I often take part in the yearly Christmas Shoebox Appeal for charity. Just thought I’d say a quick hello (update)

Hi there,

It’s been a while since I have done an update and I have been meaning to do one for a while so here I am. This will just be a short post today as I’m not having a good day and I still need to get another post up (the poll for August’s Amigurumi character) so I need to make sure I have enough energy left.

I’ll start with some happy news I received a few weeks ago, I got an email from the founder of Feedspot to tell me that my blog had been selected by their panelist as one of the top 5o Amigurumi blogs on the web. This was a lovely surprise and of course I had to check out the link they gave me to check it out. It was lovely to see a lot of other designers and bloggers that I love part of it as well and to think I was part of it as well, well that made my day. They gave me a badge to display on my website so I have added it to my sidebar, so do check it out if you like 🙂 and if you click on the badge it takes you to The Top 50 Amigurumi Blogs where I am sure you’ll find many you want to follow as I know I do!

I’m happy today because…

…I won a beautiful Crochet Pattern :-). It’s a pattern that as soon as I saw I fell in love with and it was definitely going onto my to make as soon as possible list!

This pattern was recently featured on Design Wars, where each week there is a challenge between two designers. Its amazing seeing these challenges and what is made from them, as often they are given a yarn to work with and they take it from there. This week’s challenge was featuring Red Heart Super Tweed Yarn and here is the blog post about this weeks challenge. There is also a follow up post here talking about this yarn and some discounts on the winner’s patterns. Continue reading
