Three Bears Yarn: Rosie’s Acrylic Slub DK – My First Creation!

Hello Again ๐Ÿ™‚

I hope you all enjoyed my post yesterday and for those that were not sure what Slub yarn was do now ๐Ÿ™‚ , I wasn’t sure what it was until I was given this yarn to try out and I soon became a big fan!

Today I thought I would share the first thing I made with this yarn, which was back in January as I was given the yarn to try when it was originally being trialled. I remember seeing the cone of yarn (what samples are often supplied on) for the first time and thinking “wow what is this?” and I was really surprised when I found out it was an Acrylic Slub yarn. I couldn’t wait to try it out and see what it was like as I had never used Slub yarn before. Continue reading

2015 Yearly Round Up Part 2

This post carries on from Part 1 as I decided I need to split the post as it became very long and I thought it would make for better viewing and loading too. Same warning as the last post, this post is photo heavy so you might need to allow a few moments for the post to fully load.

Well let’s get back to it, the last post was the first 6 months of 2015 and here is the last 6 months of 2015. Continue reading

2015 Yearly Round up Part 1

As promised I am back with my yearly round up of 2015 ๐Ÿ™‚ and I wanted to this specially because I know over the last few months of last year I got behind and never did all my monthly update posts that I was doing. So I thought at least this way you could find out what I made in the months that I wasn’t able to do the monthly update posts ๐Ÿ™‚ although this post wont be as detailed as those. I will be sharing a photo collage of each month with what I made and I will also include a link to each project on Ravelry (public viewable) if you want to see more photos or information. So please be aware this post will be photo heavy so it might take a few moments to load them all! Continue reading

Shoebox Appeal – Operation Christmas Child UK 2015

This year I have been helping my mum with doing some shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child, run by Samaritans Purse. It’s the first time I have taken part and I plan to do this yearly from now on :-), as it’s a great cause and a pleasure to be part of. If you’d like to know more about this shoebox appeal click hereย (Opens in a new window/tab). Continue reading

What happened in July? Part 1

This post is part 1 of 2, it has been split for your convenience to make viewing easier for you as this post ended up longer than I thought.

Hello and Sorry I’m so late!

I am well over due the monthly update for July and I am sorry about this, my health has been getting worse again so it has been hard finding enough energy for everything. I am here now though and I am looking forward to telling you what I was up to in July ๐Ÿ™‚ and I am still hoping that these updates wont always be so late, thank you for your patience though!

What happened in June?

Hello Again,

Time for another monthly update and at least this time I am not so late :-), although I do apologise that it has meant you having two monthly updates close together. Hopefully from now on they will be around a month apart like they should be! (OK scrap that, I have got delayed finishing this so as I write we are now two weeks into July…oops!) Continue reading

What happened in May? Part 3

This post is part of 3, if you haven’t already seen part 1 and 2 then please see these first.

Amazingly I was also able to fit in a few other projects as well as these, so as you can see May really was a very busy month for me. Thankfully my health improving nearer the end of May really helped and it was nice to go from crocheting through horrific pain to being able to do it and feeling more like myself, as it meant I could enjoy it more :-). What happened in May? Part 1

Firstly I’d like to apologise for this being so late as I do like to do these posts no later than one week into the following month. However I had to wait to do this post as May was mostly full of making gifts and I couldn’t share most of them yet as the people I made them for hadn’t seen them. I do wish I’d managed to find time to do this post a week or two ago, when I was then able to share my photo collage on Instagram of what I was doing in May however life just seemed to get in the way!

For your convenience I have split this monthly update into 3 parts (posts) as this update ended up being very long, and I felt it would be easier for you to look at in smaller sections. Continue reading
